For those of you currently awaiting funding from the Royal British Legion, you would have received an email/letter stating that your application has been either registered or put on hold for 90 days without any further information. Because of this, we are pleased to announce that UKVHH has started the process of becoming a recognized veterans charity to ensure you continue to receive the best of care. Every year, UK Veterans Hearing Help, make a donation to a charity of their choice in support of Veterans around the UK.
This year we chose to give to SSAFA. They have a close friend, Nick Mercer who works as the Training Officer for the Surrey Branch. A donation of £1,000 to help those Veterans in need over the Christmas period was made.
On a recent visit to Combat Stress Headquarters in Surrey, Ben took the opportunity of presenting the cheque to the Chairman of the Surrey Branch, Colonel Bob Crawley in the presence of Nick. Bob thanked Ben for the generous donation and praised UK Veterans Hearing Help for their help towards the veterans who have a hearing problem as a result of serving their country.
UK Veterans Hearing Help believes in caring for our ex-servicemen and this is just one of the many ways that they can give back to those who have served and helped to keep us safe over the years.
If you are suffering from a hearing problem that is attributable to military service, then please get in touch either through our website – using our Contact Form or alternatively please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org or just call us on 01455 234600.
