On the 75th Anniversary of D Day, UK Veterans Hearing Help are joining the celebrations in Saunton, Devon on 15/16th June 2019. This is the only living history event in the UK and will take place on a historical location amongst the dunes and on the beach where 10.000+ American GIs trained and planned for their assault on Omaha and Utah Beaches.
Braunton Burrows was home to the Assault Training Centre between September 1943 and April 1944. Within this huge sand dune area, remnants from the training facility exist in the form of concrete landing craft, bazooka wall and the ruins of a Matilda Tank
Saunton is a free show to the public and promises to be a very special event as it marks the anniversary of D Day. Included in the show are aircraft landing and taking off from the beach, major battle display involving storming Little Normandy defences by 100+ re-enactors and much much more. Interested, why not come and say hello and of course if you are suffering from a hearing loss as a result of military Service, then Colin will be there to represent us and give out advice and direction on how to obtain hearing devices at no cost to you at all!
